Gerald B. Treacy works with individuals and families, as well as with corporations, partnerships, LLCs and their owners in the Pacific Northwest and nationally as to matters of federal law. Gerry has also created and serves a large number of charitable organizations, including private foundations, private operating foundations, supporting organizations, and public charities.
A frequent lecturer in Washington State and nationally in his areas of practice, Gerry has published several books and numerous articles, including treatises on Washington guardianship law, tax aspects of community property, and charitable supporting organizations. With over 29 years’ experience in handling legal matters for his clients, Gerry has served as a partner in two of the nation’s largest law firms, and brings that substantial experience to bear in assisting the firm’s clients.
Gerry is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), with listings in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America. He is rated “AV Preeminent” (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell, and is rated “10.0 Superb” (highest rating) by the Avvo rating service. He was recently awarded BNA’s “Certificate of Excellence” for his Tax Management Portfolio on Supporting Organizations.
Gerry is a member of the Washington State Bar, the California State Bar, and the District of Columbia Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
